Go smokers, Go! 2

Filed under: My crazy thoughts — inifanny at 4:02 pm on Friday, September 23, 2005

I’ve never realized that I could be inspiring to others… But I did!
Last night, a friend of mine confessed that after reading my previous post ‘Go smokers, go!’, he decided that he didnt need to quit smoking!

Am I a genius or what? LOL!!!!

Btw, thank you very much David, if you read this… You might be the first person who thought I was trully inspiring!

But actually, this wasnt the first time I made someone stop trying to quit smoking. Years ago, when Jo was still my friend, I made him forget his goodwill too by giving him 10 packs of Indonesian cigarettes when we were in Copenhagen. All he said was ‘ Fanny, I was trying to quit… ‘ with this hopeless face!

Oh my, I wish some cigarette company like phillip morris or something, read my blog! I mean, I defend them! I make them earn more money! They should give me some rewards!!!!!!!!!!! LOL

Anyhoo people, dont get me wrong. It’s not that I am telling you all to start smoking more. All I was trying to say is that people shouldnt make such a big deal about it too much.

Smokers are not criminals!!! Lets respect each other more by not just eliminating our right to smoke.

Just give us some smoking rooms and time that we deserve, and we’ll be happy!!!

And when we’re happy, we can still continue our contribution to make the world a better place to live, by supporting the economy!!!!!!

Thank you for your attention, Ladies and gentlemen…..

I just wanna say that actually smoking isn’t good (is it cliché?)for ur health, it’s true. Sometimes,if i saw the people smoke, they seem arogant with their cigarettes…I was also a heavy smoker, began when I was SMP (the third years, was secretly)…was 5 years ago, I’ve stopped and I feel good until now, but then now I have a cancer between my long…and I still in the treatment…don’t be so wrong if I said so, I know that you really proud as a smoker, as I was…and in our country it’s very contribute for the manpower, but believe me…it’s very² bad influence in your body, there’re many people who are suffering in cancer…I know it’s not from smoking, of course, just a little from it (smoking) but still danger for our live..
And the government is just right to do that, I agree with them…they don’t eliminate you all, but just give your respect also to another people who don’t smoke…am I right or not, because they’re also the passive-smokers, it’s more dangerous….But still all your right, take it OR leave it…all is your own decicion….
That’s my opiniton….

Thanks for the comments! What I was trying to say is that government shouldnt eliminate smoking at all, just like what happened in some cities or countries. Take Ireland for example, smoking isnt allowed in public (including streets even restaurant and pubs) and the tax income decreased drastically.
I agree that government should educate people about the danger of smoking, just not too much! And they should also push public places to provide more smoking areas and non-smoking areas to accomodate everyone’s needs!
I have also heard about this new anti-cigarrete vaccin, which if it’s true, will surely have a great impact on the industry -hence, economy as well.
