Gule Rendang Lebaran
Happy Iedul Fitri to me!!!
To minimize the homesick feeling, I decided to make Gule Rendang this morning. A special treat for my self on a special day.
Surprisingly, it was easy… and eatable! I like it, Alyssa likes it and lets wait until Jo tastes it later tonight.
As usual, I never really followed the recipe. Since there wasn’t enough coconut milk left in the supermarket, I just mixed 250ml coconut milk with water to get 1500ml needed for the purpose. But still it tastes good… I’m proud of my self!
Yesterday, I guess Jo read my last posting about me feeling homesick. He called from the office, asking me out for dinner this weekend to celebrate the Lebaran! Then latter that night, he was 30 minutes late from the office. I was pissed, because I was staving. It turned out that he went to some shop first to buy a bottle of wine to celebrate Lebaran. It wasn’t the kind of lebaran that I expected, but he’s so sweet, so it’ll do. Beside, it’s the thought that counts, right?
Shit! I forgot something. I shouldn’t write this in English so he can read it and understand the meaning. When you talked something good about someone (especially your hubby), you shouldn’t let the person find out about it…!!!!
Ah what the hell…
